Dehradun: There is a crisis on the safety of tigers in the reserve forest of Uttarakhand. Under the Save Tiger Project for the conservation of tigers, the forest department makes many claims about the protection of tigers. However, the report about his death has caused an uproar. Sameer Sinha, chief conservator of forest of the forest department, said 12 tigers have died since January. Sameer Sinha has also formed a committee regarding this. The death of tigers is not due to poachers.

However, efforts are being made to ascertain the cause of death. Sameer Sinha further said that in the survey conducted in the year 2018, 442 tigers were counted in Uttarakhand. That's a success in itself. On the other hand, recently the number of tigers in Shivalik range has been found to be more than 150. Recently, a tigress was injured by a fun-like object in Ramnagar Corbett National Park. Sinha said that two years ago, the tigress was trapped due to someone coming under the grip of someone. Refuting any poacher's conspiracy, he said, "We are in constant touch with the veterinary surgeon for the treatment of the tigress."

At the same time, a photo of the death of another tigress in Kotdwar's Corbett National Park area went viral on social media a few days ago. It was told that the tigress had died of hunger. Refuting the news, Sameer Sinha said that the tigress had grown old. He died due to lack of hunting. This type of incident is common. Sinha further said that tigers are completely safe from poachers. We have installed tracking cameras. The reserve forest is protected through drones and satellite images. The cause of the death of tigers has not been revealed yet. There is a constant doubt whether these tigers died due to age or due to some disease. These questions will be answered only when the investigation report in this entire case comes out.
