Patna: 14 IAS officers have been promoted to the rank of Additional Secretary by the Government of Bihar (Bihar government). Among the promotions are 11 collectors. While the officers of 2012 batch have been promoted with effect from 1st January 2021, the officers of 2013 batch have been promoted with effect from 1st January, 2022. The General Administration Department has issued a notification.

Among those promoted to additional secretary are Kaushal Kumar, 2012 batch officer and collector of Saharsa, Kundan Kumar, collector of West Champaran, Inayat Khan, collector of Sheikhpura, Arvind Kumar Verma, collector of Begusarai, Sunil Kumar Yadav, collector of Sitamarhi and Amit Kumar, collector of Madhubani.

In addition, 2013 batch IAS officer and Nalanda Collector Yogendra Singh, Gopalganj Collector Naval Kishore Chaudhary, Bhagalpur Collector Subrata Kumar Sen, Road Construction Joint Secretary Shailaja Sharma, Rohtas Collector Dharmendra Kumar, Kaimur Collector Navdeep Shukla, Labour Commissioner Ranjita and Joint Secretary, Department of Cooperation Anand Sharma have also been promoted to additional secretaries.
