Vidisha: A big incident is coming to the fore from Vidisha in Madhya Pradesh, where a case of forgery has come to the fore in the admission of children in a madrasa. In Barkatullah Madrasa located at Bais Darwaza, out of total 41 children, 27 children are Hindu. In these, fake admission of 11 forest dwellers has been done. After this matter came to the fore on Monday, District Education Officer GP Rathi has said to conduct an inquiry.

Parents of 11 forest-dwelling children of Raipura Basti told that their children have never gone to the madrassa. The name of Ajay, a student of Basti, is enrolled in class VIII in this madrasa, while this student is studying in class VII in a government school. Shankar Adivasi, the father of the child, had told that the scholarship is being issued in the name of his child in the madrassa, whereas he has not received the scholarship amount even once. Two students have been found in the madrassa, who are married, but they are registered in class VIII. Manoj Kaushal, president of the Safal Shiksha Seva Samiti, who complained about the matter to the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, said that the madrasa operator had given fake admission to the children and cheated them of the government's mid-day meals, scholarships, and in school dresses. From 2016 to 2022, the admission of 11 children in the Madrasa was shown in a fake way. Due to this, the enrolled children have neither been given any examination nor do they know how to read and write according to the class assigned to them.

On the other hand, Madrasa Director Manjit Kapoor said that she has been running the Madrasa for the last 21 years. She had given the responsibility of operating the madrasa to teacher Suresh Arya from the year 2017 to 2021. The admission of the said 11 children was done by him only. When she took over the management of the madrassa this year, she got the news of these children. She went to the house of all the 11 children and urged them to send them to Madrasa, but their parents did not send them. Manjit told that even before this, Arya had given admission to about 20 children on paper only. Soon the names of 11 children will also be removed from the Madrasa. District Education Officer GP Rathi told that this matter came to our notice only on Monday. After getting it investigated, appropriate action will be taken against the culprits. National Commission for Protection of Child Rights Priyank Kanoongo told that a large number of non-Muslim children are studying in madrassas in Madhya Pradesh, which is a violation of the rules. A letter has been written to the Chief Secretary asking him to submit the report in 30 days for the physical verification of the children studying in madrassas.
