New Delhi: The cyber criminals who carried out the fraud by creating fake WhatsApp accounts of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and many collectors of Bihar did not spare CM Nitish Kumar. The Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) has arrested a criminal for forgery by creating a fake social media profile in the name of CM Nitish Kumar. Recently, a case was registered by the Bihar government against the exploits of cybercriminals. 

The thugs had created an account on social media by wrongly testing the official logo and logo of the Bihar government. Against whom the EOU had registered a case. The agency started an investigation by registering a case under IPC section - 170/178/417/419/465/468/471/505 and IT Act, 2000.

At the same time, the government was serious about this matter and the government handed over its investigation to DSP Sunil Kumar Singh, who has specialized in cybercrime. Since then the investigation was started in this case. During the investigation of the whole matter, the team came to know that the person who created the fake profile used the logo and emblem of the Bihar government. On this basis, the EOU arrested a person named Armaan Vashir in this case on 23 August 2022. The criminal is a resident of the Dhaka police station area of ​​ward number 12 of East Champaran. Apart from the CM Secretariat and the emblem, the name of the Chief Minister was used by him. After the arrest, the criminal has been sent to jail. The investigation team is trying to find out why he had carried out such an incident by using the name of CM.
