In a big relief for Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the whole crew of Padmavati as CBFC gave green signal to the most–controversial movie of 2017.
Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had examining committee meeting on 28 Dec to review Padmavati and took a decision to give it UA certificate along with some modifications and likely change of the title to Padmavati. The certificate is to be issued once mandatory & agreed modifications are made by team Padmavati.
The film was approached with balanced view keeping in mind both the filmmakers & society. Considering complexities & concerns around the film the requirement for a special panel was employed by CBFC to add perspective to the final decision, says sources from CBFC heated discussion of Padmavati.
The special working group consisted of Arvind Singh from Udaipur; Dr.Chandramani Singh & Prof K.K. Singh of Jaipur University reviewed the movie. Panel member had just around the corner & also some reservations regarding claimed historical events & socio-cultural aspects which were duly discussed at length says sources of CBFC after this Central Board of Film Certification has decided to give Padmavati, UA certificate along with some modifications and a likely change of the title to Padmavati
