In such a situation, some farmers have delayed the registration of paddy purchases. The government has given a big relief to such farmers to continue purchasing paddy. Procurement is going on in the state at the minimum support price of Rs 2040 per quintal for general category paddy and Rs 2060 per quintal for Grade-A. Farmers desirous of selling paddy at the minimum support price in UP have been asked to register on the official website of the Food Department, fcs.up.gov.in.

Let us tell you that on January 10, the Uttar Pradesh government decided not to disconnect the electrical connections of the farmers if the electricity bill is overdue. Action will be taken against such employees. In fact, the CM has expressed his displeasure over the disconnection of farmers' tubewell connections due to arrears of electricity bills.
