In an interview, when Shefali was asked that despite being so close to Mahira, Paras is working in 'Mujhse Shadi Karoge', Shefali said, "They are all adults. I am not someone to comment on his career move. Nor am I going to take any such step. So please ask them the same question. I never felt romantic chemistry between them. Both are very good friends."

On the deteriorating relationship with Paras, Shefali said, "He told me some wrong things, but there is no difference between me and Paras now. When he and his mother apologized to me, I ended the fight. We now have a great brother-in-law relationship between us.
