The work of installing the world's tallest idol in Ramnagari, the idol of Lord Shri Ram, has been expedited. The 251-meter tall statue will be installed on the Saryu coast, which will work to increase the grandeur and righteousness of Ramnagari. For the tourism development of Ramnagari, the state government has also approved a budget of Rs 447 crore. 61 hectares of land has been purchased to install the idol. The target of realizing the statue by 2022 has been set. The work of installing the idol will be started in the next 6 months.

The preparations to install a huge statue of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram in Ramnagari have been accelerated. 61 hectares of land will be taken up for installation of 251 meters high statue. Ayodhya District Collector Anuj Kumar Jha has already issued 28 hectares of land by issuing notifications. There was also a dispute over the acquisition of this land.

These lands have also been inspected by the authorities. Now, 61 hectares of land will be required. For these, the land on the other side of the Saryu bridge near Jamthara, Guptarghat, Meerapur Manjha, located around Meerapur Doaba on the Saryu coast can also be acquired. The working organization of the idol construction will be UP State Construction Corporation.

The goal is to have the design of the giant statue of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shriram prepared and finalized by the architect by December 2019. The deadline to achieve NOC by removing all technical flaws regarding the project is fixed in May 2020.
