Patna: The triple murder in Bihar's Nawada district has created a stir. A man in the Govindpur police station area strangled his wife and two innocent daughters to death in a dispute on Friday. After committing the murder, the accused himself reached the police station and surrendered before the police. All the villagers are shocked by this incident. Deepak Chaudhary, a resident of Madhopur Colony under the Govindpur police station area, strangled his own wife Savitri Devi and two daughters Kajal Kumari and Divya Kumari to death on Friday. Savitri Devi was 25 years old while her elder daughter Kajal was 3 years old and her younger daughter Divya Dhed was 1.5 years old. Deepak Chaudhary's father's name is Shravan Chaudhary. After committing the crime, the accused husband went to Govindpur police station and surrendered.
Villagers said that Deepak Chaudhary's mental condition was not going well for a few days. He killed his wife and child because of his poor mental condition. He was living in the forest by building a hut away from his house. It is said that the wife had taken food for her husband on the spot. The children were small so they had also gone to the forest with their mother. In the meantime, the eccentric husband killed everyone by slitting their throat. According to the villagers, Deepak Chaudhary was undergoing treatment from Ranchi for the past one year. He was also unemployed for the past six months. He is a truck driver by profession.
Police, who reached the spot, took the bodies into custody and sent them to Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The police are interrogating the accused in judicial custody. Govindpur police station in-charge Dr Narendra Prasad said the dead included Savitri Devi, one-year-old daughter Kajal and two-year-old daughter Divya. He said the accused had been arrested. The apparent cause of this triple murder is not yet known. The police are investigating the whole case, only after that will they be able to say anything.
