Patna: The work of trial of the vaccine of Covid-19 is going on in Patna, Bihar. Where on Thursday, the first dose of Corona vaccine has been given to 7 people. Before this, 8 people were given the dose of the drug. It is being said that this vaccine is going to be tried on at least 50 more people.
According to Patna AIIMS Superintendent, people who have been given the first dose of vaccine, they will be given another dose after 14 days. After 28 days, the effect of the vaccine is going to be studied, in which it will be seen how much antibody has developed in the body of the people who were given the drug. The report of the study is to be sent to ICMR. To prevent the spread of corona infection in the country, India Biotech is developing a corona vaccine under the supervision of ICMR.
The vaccine trial was started from July 7 in 13 institutions including Patna AIIMS. A team of different doctors has been formed. People between 18 and 55 years old are going to be called for the trial. Those who were given the vaccine are completely healthy. They have not faced any difficulty. The total number of corona patients in Bihar has exceeded 26 thousand. On Sunday, 1412 new cases of corona were reported in Bihar. A total of 26,379 cases of corona have been confirmed so far in the state. In which 16,597 have been recovered. The death toll from the corona in the province has been 179. The number of active cases in the state is 9,603.
