Gopalganj: A maniac stabbed and killed his alleged girlfriend in Sidhvali police station area of Gopalganj district of Bihar for refusing to marry her. After the incident, the angry people lashed out at the accused, causing him to be badly injured. In this case, the police have arrested a friend of the accused.

A police official informed on Friday that Anil Yadav, a resident of Jalalpur village in Gopalganj, Bihar, had a conversation with a girl from the village. It is alleged that in the meantime, Anil caught her in his love trap and pressured her to marry her. According to police sources, Anil arrived at the girl's house late on Wednesday night and proposed to marry. After the girl refused, she stabbed her. The injured girl was taken to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

The villagers grabbed the accused Anil and washed away from him, causing him to be badly injured. Gopalganj Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Tiwari said, the accused was taken into custody by the police and is being treated in Patna. He said, Anil's friend Dhiraj, who was involved in the case, has been arrested on Thursday and the entire case is under investigation.
