Patna: Bihar Governor Phagu Chauhan's health has suddenly deteriorated. According to the news received, he fell unconscious late on Thursday night. He was admitted to IGIMS in Patna. A team of doctors is engaged in his treatment. The doctor has also told that there is nothing to worry about his health at the moment. At present, his condition is good. He is being taken from Patna to Delhi through an air ambulance for better treatment. He is likely to undergo treatment at AIIMS in Delhi.  

The same doctors say that Phagu Chauhan's investigation report revealed that he had an infection in his urinary tract. He is undergoing continuous treatment at IGIMS. Doctors are trying their best to get him well as soon as possible. However, his health is said to be much better than before.

Phagu Chauhan has been the Governor of Bihar since 2019. Chauhan, 74, is originally from UP. He was born in 1948 in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. In the 17th Assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh, he was the MLA who won with the highest number of votes. He was a record 6-time MLA from the Ghosi assembly seat. Apart from the BJP, Phagu Chauhan has been in other parties including Bahujan Samaj Party and Lok Dal. He became an MLA for the first time in 1985. In 1991, he contested from Janata Dal and won. Subsequently, he became an MLA in 1996, 2002 and 2007. In the 2017 assembly elections, he won on a BJP ticket. In 2019, he was appointed governor of Bihar.
