Bihar govt eases Covid curbs, Gyms resume exercise with 50 pc capacity

PATNA: As the Covid-19 state of affairs continues to recover in the state, the Bihar government has announced that gyms reopen in Patna with 50 percent capacity on Wednesday, 7 July onwards.

On July 5, the state govt hasannounced that colleges, universities, government training institutes and polytechnic institutes, and schools for classes XI and XII will reopen with 50% attendance, as a part of unlocking series in the Covid-19 related restrictions.

Now,  gyms reopen in Patna with 50 percent capacity on Wednesday, and several enthusiasts welcomed the decision of the state government. The Bihar government on Monday announced further easing of COVID-19 induced restrictions.  The order allowed gymnasiums, clubs and swimming pools to remain open with the condition that occupancy at any time cannot exceed 50%. Stadiums (including indoors) and sport complexes can also be opened only for the practice of players. But only vaccinated people will be permitted to use these facilities. As per the order, entry of vaccinated visitors will be allowed in government offices as well. However, religious places, cinema halls, shopping malls will continue to remain shut.
