Patna: On Thursday morning, a young man escaped with gold jewellery worth more than one million by pouring chilli powder into the eyes of dancer Chanda Kumari at Chaturbhuj Sthan Road of Mithanpura police station in Muzaffarpur district in Bihar. The dancer ran screaming after the thief for about a kilometre, but no one helped. The entire incident has been captured in the CCTV camera.

In this regard, Chanda has applied for an FIR at Mithanpura police station. The police investigated, but due to delay in action, SSP has also submitted application and CCTV footage. The young man, who ran away with jewelery, was wearing a yellow shawl and a white pant-shirt. He put on a mask and was walking. SSP Jayantkant told that an investigation is being done. The youth will be arrested by identifying the CCTV footage.

Chanda told the police that Kanhauli lives in a house near Naka. He has a residential office near Hanuman Mandir located on Chaturbhuj Sthan Road, where the musical program takes place. She was scheduled to present the program on New Year on Friday. So she came home with all her jewelery. Opening the office at 6.22 in the morning, put the bag full of jewellery on the table. When she was lighting the bulb, suddenly a young man entered inside at 6.24 pm. He poured chilli powder on the dancer's eyes and started running away with a bag full of jewellery placed on the table. She ran after him to Kanhauli Naka. There were few people in the morning, so nobody helped and the young man escaped. Chanda told that there were necklaces, earrings, 12 chains and 10,000 cash in the bag.
