Patna: Rising petrol and diesel prices made everyone upset. Bihar has become the 11th state where the price of petrol has gone up to Rs.100 per litre or more. Petrol prices are beyond Rs 100 in all cities and towns of the state. Petrol sold for more than Rs 100.47 and diesel at over Rs 94.24 per litre in Patna. Petrol is available above Rs.100 in all the towns of the State. In such a situation, the resentment of the individuals is also increasing.
Expressing the anger, a case has been registered against Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in the CJM court in Muzaffarpur. Local resident Tamanna Hashmi is said to have registered the case. In a complaint filed by Tamanna Hashmi on Monday, she alleged that selling expensive petrol across the country is a conspiracy even after the price of crude oil came down. Hashmi, known for filing a case against eminent persons, has sought filing of a case against pradhan under sections 420, 295 and 295 (A) and 511 (attempt to commit offence) of IPC.
The court has posted the matter for hearing on July 2. According to the report received, in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Muzaffarpur, local resident and complainant Tamanna Hashmi has filed against Pradhan that petrol and diesel are being sold at higher prices as part of a conspiracy to continue to bring down the prices of crude oil in petroleum producing countries.
