Patna: Bihar's police on Monday exposed a gang of interstate robbers. Police have arrested 8 robbers, including gang mastermind Lal Babu. This gang of robbers had been carrying out robbery incidents on Delhi-Kolkata National Highway 2 for the last several months. Police have received Rs 91,000, SUV, knife and many smartphones from the possession of robbers.

According to the police, on August 4, this gang robbed a large container going to Jharkhand on which one crore worth of goods was loaded. The robbers killed the driver and his cleaner and looted one crore worth of goods. The gang is assisted by a man named Naresh Baitha, an employee of a transport company in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh. Bhabhua Superintendent of Police Dilnawaz Ahmed said that Naresh Baitha's mobile phone had an application through which he could find out the location of the truck and using this, this gang carried out many robbery incidents on the highway.

Bihar Police has approached Uttar Pradesh Police to arrest Naresh Baitha. Police have said that in the last few months, this gang has looted at least 5 trucks on the highway. After arresting the members of this gang, the police presented them in court, after which they have been sent behind bars.
