Patna: A shameful incident of rape of a minor inter student has come to light from Muzaffarpur in Bihar. The inter-student was raped for several months by two coaching teachers and a quack (hakim) in a village under the Hatha OP area of the Bandra block. The accused used to silence the victim by threatening her. When she got pregnant, the matter came to light. After which the police registered a case under the Pocso Act and started an investigation. The victim had left her studies and went to her relative's place to escape from the accused.
Mahila Thana police recorded the statement of the victim on Wednesday (July 13) and registered an FIR under the POCSO Act. A section of rape has also been added to it. Three youths, including a coaching operator, and a quake, have been made accused in the case. The 17-year-old minor victim has told the police that she was studying in a coaching institute in a nearby village. During this time, two coaching teachers and another man raped her. He threatened to kill her if she told anyone about this. The victim then stopped going to coaching. A few days later, on February 16, she went to Quack to take the medicine.
During this time, a teacher called her to the room and then raped her. She threatened to kill and throw her into the river if she told anyone. She then went to a relative's house. There, her health deteriorated, so the family took her to the doctor, where she came to know about being pregnant. A panchayat was held in the village for several days after it was revealed that the victim was pregnant. During this time, the victim's family was also pressured to hush up the case. The police are currently investigating the case.
