Samastipur: An astounding case of crime has been reported from Samastipur city in Bihar. The miscreants strangled the retired teacher and killed him in a house with the intention of looting in Dalsinghsarai town of Samastipur district. The critically injured teacher was taken to hospital for treatment, from where he was referred to Begusarai in view of his serious condition.

He is still reported to be in critical condition. The case is from Saha Saha Thakurwari of Bhagwanpur Chakshekhu Ward No. 5. Retired teacher Yogendra Saha and his wife are said to be present at home. The wife was in the drawing-room while Yogendra Saha was sleeping in another room. Late on Sunday night, the miscreant climbed the wall of his neighbour's house.

In the meantime, the teacher got up. The miscreants stormed the teacher with a sharp weapon. The teacher's finger was cut off and then the miscreants tried to slit the teacher's throat with the intention of killing. The police have been engaged in the investigation as soon as the case is reported. Police said further action will be taken by registering the statement after the teacher.
