Patna: In Bihar's Kaimur district, a video of an elderly teacher being thrashed with sticks is going viral. In this, two women constables are seen beating the elderly indiscriminately. Begging for mercy, the old teacher is constantly asking what is his fault. Taking cognizance of the video, the Superintendent of Police has told that the incident is from Bhabhua city.
According to the report, the duty of two women constables Gyanati Kumari and another Nandani Kumari were put on duty at Jaiprakash Chowk in Bhabhua city to improve the traffic system. According to sources, the woman constable was regulating traffic at the Chowk. Meanwhile, elderly teacher Naval Kishore Sharma was crossing the road on his bicycle. On this, the constable asked him to stop, but he did not stop. When the old man said something, the woman constable felt as if he was abusing her. After this, the lady constable stopped him and started beating him with sticks.
The victim said, ''I teach English in a school. On Friday afternoon, Jay Prakash was coming from Chowk, meanwhile, two women constables stopped him. I went ahead ignoring their words. On this, the lady constable stopped and started beating me indiscriminately." He further told that 'I asked them not to do so, but they did not agree. They released me when a gentleman intervened. I was so ashamed that I did not register any complaint at the police station. Due to the thrashing, my legs and hands have swollen. I want justice.'
