Gangtok: An Indian Army truck fell into a gorge in Sikkim's Jema on Friday. In this incident, 16 soldiers of the army were martyred. Lal Chandan Kumar Mishra of Bihar was also in this truck, who was martyred. Chandan was a resident of Pachkhutty village in the Khagaria district. He was serving as a Junior Commission Officer in the Indian Army.

According to the news, Chandan was injured in this accident. After which he was taken to the hospital. But he died during the treatment. On Friday night, when the news of Chandan's martyrdom came to the family, there was a scream in the house. Martyr Chandan's parents are in a state of shock.

Let us tell you that Chandan joined the Army in 2001. He got married in 2008. His family consists of his wife and children besides his parents. Both children are around 11 years of age. Chandan was living in Sikkim with his wife and two children. It is being said that martyr Chandan's funeral will be held in his native village Pachkhutty. His body will first be airlifted to Patna airport. Then the martyr will be brought to the village by road with full respect. According to the news, two army vans were with the truck in the accident in Sikkim. The three vehicles had left for Thangu from Chatan on Friday morning. On the way, the truck skidded off the road and fell into a ditch.
