Microsoft founder and philanthropist Bill Gates is the most agricultural land in America. Their agricultural land is in 18 states of America. Bill & Melinda Gates has 2,42,000 acres of agricultural land with the most in Louisiana (69,071 acres), Arkansas (47,927 acres), and Nebraska (20,588 acres). It was revealed that Bill Gates also has more than 24,800 acres of transitional land outside phoenix. It is also said that these lands are owned by Cascade Investment LLC, which is Gates' private investment firm, across the US. The seller of cars used by cascade is also part of the Vroom and the Canadian National Railway Company.
According to information received, the Swath of Choice Eastern Washington agricultural land at Horse Heaven Hills in Benton has now been purchased for about $171 million, which is now part of Gates' land ownership. It is also being said why Gates has invested so much in agricultural land, but it can be linked to climate change. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has launched a new nonprofit group a year ago aimed at helping small farmers in developing countries through various methods and innovations.
Bill Gates is currently third in Bloomberg's billionaire's list, but even after owning so much agricultural land, he has not yet joined the list of top 100 private landowners (all kinds of land included) in the US. Liberty Media's John Malone ranks first with ownership of 22 lakh acres of land on the list. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is ranked 25th on the list with 4.2 lakh acres of land ownership.
