Plot:
The movie is based on Rabindranath Tagore’s popular short story 'Kabuliwala'. The story is about a young girl’s journey to uncover more about her deceased father’s associate who used to play bioscope shows for her as a youth.

Separated from her photographer father Robi Basu, Mini has to fly back to Kolkata from France where she is studying. She comes back to collect her father’s remains after his air plane meets with a crash. Turns out, he was going to Afghanistan for purposes hidden to her. After the incidents what comes as an added shock to her is the fact that her father has taken custody of an old friend of his, the bioscopewala Rehmat Khan who has a dark past. Knowing this, Mini, if she cares, tries to uncover the bioscopewala's past.

Acting:
In the movie, the famous Bollywood actor Danny Denzongpa gives an absolutely nuanced execution. Danny is playing the role of 'Kind Pathan' who years for his daughter whom he has left back home. Gitanjali Thapa, too, nails her part and has given a trustworthy execution of her character.
