New Delhi: Bird flu has been detected in samples of 15 crows found dead nearly a week ago in Delhi's Red Fort. According to the Animal Husbandry Department, samples were sent to Jalandhar and Bhopal for investigation after the death of the crow. The report of the sample of the deceased crow on Monday night confirmed bird flu.

Thereafter, the Animal Husbandry Department has instructed the Red Fort to be closed for the movement of common people. The entry of common people into the Red Fort will be banned from January 19 to January 26 in view of the danger of bird flu and the tourists visiting the Red Fort. Although the Red Fort is closed every year from January 22 to January 26, it has been closed first after bird flu has been confirmed. Earlier, the first case of bird flu was reported in the Zoo in Delhi. Bird flu was confirmed in a dead brown fish owl at the Zoo in Delhi, the birdhouse is still closed to the common people.

Sanjay Lake Park in East Delhi and Dwarka Sector 9 Park in South Delhi have also been closed due to bird flu. However, random samples sent from Ghazipur Rooster Mandi were negative. Ghazipur Rooster Mandi was then resumed.
