The coronavirus epidemic has engulfed the entire world. Due to the corona, the organizers of the 2022 Commonwealth Games have been forced to build sports villages in many places instead of allowing them to stay in one place for the players and officials. According to the sports organizers, the players and officials will be placed in three separate locations at the University of Birmingham, University of Warwick and The NEC Hotel campus.

The sports village was to be built for the first time in place of the University of Birmingham at a cost of 500 million pounds, and 6500 players and team officers would be kept here. The organizers, however, postponed the idea, as they felt that due to the COVID-19 epidemic, it could not be prepared in time. According to the new campus model, 1600 players and officers will be housed at the NEC Hotel Campus and 1900 at the University of Warwick, while the Chief Sports Village will be at the University of Birmingham, where 2800 people will be able to stay.

According to the statement of the organizers, "After reviewing the impact of the global pandemic, it was decided not to build a sports village in one place in the city's Parry Bar area, while the Games program has less than two years left." The organizers also claimed that the three-campus model of accommodation for the Birmingham 2022 Games will be prepared in the budget of 77 crore 8 lakh pounds of the Games. He simultaneously stressed that the games will be organized in time. With this Corona has influenced many areas of the country.
