New Delhi: Today is the birth anniversary of India's greatest freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose alias Netaji. If someone asks you what was the name of the first PM of the country? So you will say that the first PM of the country was Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Students of the smallest school and the biggest university in India will give the same answer because this history has been taught in school books in India since childhood. But this is not completely true. Because, Nehru became the Prime Minister in 1947 as soon as the country became independent, without any election, by taking oath in front of Lord Mountbatten. Whereas, at that time, 12 of the 15 provincial committees of the Congress had demanded to make Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel the future PM. But, Mahatma Gandhi felt that Nehru would not work under Patel, so Gandhi pressured Sardar Patel to withdraw his candidature and Nehru got the chair.

Actually, the reality is that even before Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was the first PM of the country's independent Government. You might not be believing this. But it is not your fault. In independent India, Governments recognized only certain types of historians. These books have hidden many important events related to the history of the country from you. Subhash Chandra Bose was the PM, Foreign Minister, and Defense Minister of the country's first independent Government. But this thing was never told to you.

The Modi government celebrated the 75th anniversary of the country's first independent government on 21 October in the year 2017. This government is known as the 'Azad Hind Sarkar'. This government was formed on 21 October 1943. India's first independent government was established and announced by Subhash Chandra Bose on 21 October 1943. Immediately after this announcement, on October 23, 1943, the Azad Hind Sarkar entered the field of World War II. Prime Minister of Azad Hind Sarkar, Subhash Chandra Bose had declared war against Britain and America.

At that time the Governments of 9 countries had recognized the government of Subhash Chandra Bose. Japan recognized the Azad Hind Sarkar on 23 October 1943. After that Germany, Philippines, Thailand, Manchuria, and Croatia also accepted the Azad Hind Sarkar. The Azad Hind Sarkar, along with the Japanese Government, had made a plan to enter Northeast India through Myanmar. Subhash Chandra Bose made Burma's capital Rangoon his headquarters, at that time it was occupied by Japan. On March 18, 1944, Subhash Chandra Bose's Azad Hind Fauj stepped on the land of India. And that place is now known as Kohima, the capital of Nagaland.
