Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s birthday is on 5 March. The CM has written a letter to the people of the state before his birthday.
In this letter, he wrote many things to spread awareness about the environment. He also urged the public to take small steps to save the environment. In this letter, he wrote, "My prayer is not to celebrate the joy of this birthday by welcoming me with flowers and bouquets, instead plant a tree. It is not necessary to do it only on my birthday only. You can plant a tree on any auspicious occasion in your life”.
The letter further states, Mother Earth gives us everything, but we should also give something to mother. The environmental conditions are deteriorating due to indiscriminate felling of trees. The surface temperature of the Earth is constantly increasing and it is predicted that by 2050 it will increase by 2 degree Celsius and then the conditions will be such that the existence of humans and animals on earth will be in crisis.
The letter also mentions about the increase in forest area in Madhya Pradesh and suggests increasing the forest area. If we plant trees, we will plant them not only for ourselves, but also for the state, the country and the world. CM also requests not to celebrate the joy of this birthday by welcoming him with flowers and bouquets, instead plant a tree. It is not necessary to do it on his birthday only and reminds all that if there is a tree, there is oxygen, if there is oxygen, there is life. He said that he will celebrate his birthday by planting trees
