New Delhi: Skipper Ajinkya Rahane, who won the structure in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy played in Australia, is being praised all around. Former England captain Michael Vaughan had advocated Rahane from BCCI to fully captain in the test. In addition, Ricky Ponting and Shane Warne also praised Rahane's captaincy. Now a new name has been added to this phase as Bishan Singh Bedi.

Former team India captain Bedi has said that Ajinkya Rahane has been replaced by Virat Kohli as captain in the test. In Rahane's captaincy, India beat Australia by 2-1. To make his point openly, Bedi said, "I have become the captaincy of Rahane." He reminded me of Tiger Pataudi. The way he led the injured team and administered the victory was superb.

He likened Rahane to his former colleague, late Tiger Pataudi, saying, "He was Pataudi who brought Indianness to the cricket team. The manner in which Rahane captained in Australia looked very close to Pataudi. The art of bowling changes and fielding decorating was like Pataudi. He said that I tried a lot, but he could not find a mistake in his captaincy."
