Ranchi: Jharkhand BJP has alleged that RJD national president Lalu Prasad Yadav is being allowed to meet people in violation of jail rules and laws. BJP state spokesperson Pratul Shahdev has alleged that the meeting of the leaders with Lalu Prasad is continuing and the jail rules and laws are being blown up.
Pratul further said that the inspector general of prisons in the diocese has told the media that the RIMS director's "Kelly Bengali" cannot be considered a jail. Pratul said the statement was completely baseless as the High Court in its August 24, 2018 order had made the remark while facilitating Lalu Prasad to be treated in rims. Pratul has alleged that the jail rules are not being taken care of even during the meeting of the meetings with Lalu. People meet them daftly and there are political things, and there is no prison officer."
When questioned about the BJP's allegations, state Inspector General of Prisons Virendra Bhushan clarified that "Lalu Yadav is in judicial custody but is currently under the supervision of the district administration in Rimes, not in the custody of the jail administration. So the district administration takes decisions other than the decision of the meetings," he said.
