BJP counterattack on opposition, says, 'In guise of opposition parties of minority community…'

On the issue of citizenship, Bharatiya Janata Party has accused Congress and AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi of misleading Muslims. BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain on Thursday appealed to the minority community not to come under the guise of opposition parties. He said that once upon a time MA Jinnah misled him on the principle of 2 countries, but now Congress is tricking them into the National Population Register, Detention Center, and National Citizenship Register. Owaisi is also the team B of the Congress. One should not get into the talk of these parties which do politics of distributing Muslims.

In his statement, he said that the NPR exercise first started in the year 2010 under the Congress-led UPA government. Congress then stated the need for NRC. While the current BJP-led NDA government has clarified that NPR will have nothing to do with the citizenship register. Hussain said that after being rejected by the public in the Lok Sabha elections, Congress has now come down to the politics of distribution.

On this occasion, BJP's Kisan Morcha chief Virendra Singh Mast alleged that Congress is using the language of Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. He claimed that the opposition party is bent on proving the BJP to be the party of Hindus in the same way Jinnah used to tell Congress before independence. Similarly, BJP spokesperson K. Krishna Sagar Rao called the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) anarchist. It is said that the institutions are opposed.
