Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee makes a controversial statement. Recently, she has given such a controversial statement, due to which she has come in the discussions. Through her statement, she targeted the BJP on Wednesday. She said, 'We know that once a year April Fool comes, which is on April 1, while people fool each other but the Bharatiya Janata Party fools people for 365 days of the year'. She also said, "She will ensure the victory of the Trinamool Congress in any case, even if she is sent to jail." She said all these things at a rally in Bankura district.

During this time she was also seen saying, 'BJP is not a political party, but it is just a' waste of lies'. If the BJP has courage, let them arrest me. I will ensure the victory of Trinamool in the elections from jail itself. Let me tell them clearly that I am not afraid of them and their agencies." She said referring to Bihar's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad, 'Lalu Prasad was put behind bars, but he ensured his party's good electoral performance. In Bihar, the BJP has won with sheer ingenuity and not through any popular mandate.'

She also said, "During elections, they bring up issues like Narada sting operation and Sarada chit fund scam to intimidate Trinamool leaders. They are giving money to our leaders. One thing you have to remember is that they are outsiders. They will loot Bengal when they come to power. That is why they have colluded with the Congress and the Communist Party of India (CPI-M) in Bengal." Elections for the West Bengal Legislative Assembly with 294 seats are going to be held in April-May next year. For this reason, everyone is seen constantly engaged in campaigning.
