Mumbai: CM Devendra Fadnavis is meeting with the core committee leaders of the party after meeting Amit Shah on Monday amid the ongoing tussle with Shiv Sena after the Maharashtra assembly elections. Apart from Fadnavis, Chandrakant Patil, Sudhir Mungantiwar, Girish Mahajan, Pankaja Munde and V Satish are present at the meeting. According to sources, BJP will not stake claim to form the government alone in the minority.

According to BJP sources, the BJP will not claim itself until the situation is cleared if it supports Shiv Sena. The Maharashtra BJP unit has been advised by the BJP top command to monitor the Shiv Sena's move and adopt a wait and watch strategy. According to sources, BJP President Amit Shah is in favor of talks with Shiv Sena on the formula of Fifty-Fifty for the remaining posts except the CM and Home Minister's chair in Maharashtra. BJP agrees to give 18 ministerial posts to Shiv Sena.

Meanwhile, Kishore Tiwari, close to BJP leaders and advisor to Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, has written a letter to RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat seeking intervention in this regard. In this very high priority letter, Tiwari has urged Bhagwat to mediate with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on the formation of government so that the dispute between the BJP and Shiv Sena can be resolved by consensus.
