New Delhi: On Thursday, after Congress President Rahul Gandhi slammed PM Narendra Modi over his China diplomacy and called him ‘Weak Modi’, BJP slammed his statement saying “China wouldn't be in UNSC had your great grandfather, not 'gifted' it to them at India’s cost.” A tweet posted on the saffron party’s official handle read: “India is undoing all mistakes of your family. Be assured that India will win the fight against terror. Leave it to PM Modi while you keep cosying up with the Chinese envoys secretly.”

Here it is to be noted that the Congress president had also said that the Prime Minister was “scared” of Chinese President Xi Jinping. Taking swipe at the PM Gandhi had said that Modi’s China diplomacy is limited to “Swing with Xi in Gujarat, Hug Xi in Delhi and Bow to Xi in China.” China had blocked India's bid to designate the Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed's chief Masood Azhar, responsible for Pulwama terror attack, as a global terrorist by putting a technical hold on a proposal.

The Congress tweeted "With China having blocked our bid to designate Masood Azhar a global terrorist, the question on every Indian's mind is, what was the use of all the swinging with Modi and President Xi,".Here to be noted that Congress used this to target the BJP government termed PM Modi’s foreign policy “a series of diplomatic disasters.”

The Congress has relentlessly attacked the BJP over Azhar's release in the Kandahar hijacking case and earlier Gandhi has asked Modi to tell the nation that it was a BJP-led government which released Azhar from an Indian jail in 1999 and that his current NSA Anijt Doval had “escorted” Azhar to Kandahar.
