New Delhi: Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday criticized the registration of a case by Noida police against party MP Shashi Tharoor and some journalists. "It is dangerous to threaten public representatives and journalists on behalf of the BJP government," he said.


You all would know that 'There was violence during the tractor parade of farmers on 26 January in Delhi. In connection with the same violence, Noida Police had filed a sedition case against Congress MP Shashi Tharoor and eight people including six journalists for spreading false news. A case was also registered on other charges. Now the same in-charge of Uttar Pradesh of the Congress, Priyanka Gandhi has made a tweet.


In her tweet, Priyanka Gandhi writes, 'Journalists covering the Kisan agitation are being arrested, they are being prosecuted. The Internet has stopped in many places. The BJP government wants to crush the voice of the farmers, but they have forgotten that more voices will rise against your atrocities than you will suppress. Has lodged the dignity of democracy by filing an FIR.'
