New Delhi: Even though the BJP won the full majority in Gujarat, even as the strong performance of the Congress, the BJP could not even reach on hundreds of seats and could win only 99 seats which had aimed 150 seats. But now the BJP has scored the century in Gujarat because it has announced an independent legislator supporting him. Because of this, the BJP has now made a hundred of the seats.

It is notable that the winning MLA Ratan Singh Thaayudhar as an Independent nominee from Lunawada has declared to support BJP. Ratan Singh has also sent a letter of support to the Governor. With this support of Ratan Singh, the number of BJP MLAs has reached 100. Worth mentioning here Ratan Singh has given unconditional support to the BJP.

Ratan Singh is basically a Congressman. When Rattan Singh did not find a ticket from Congress, he filed nomination as an independent candidate from Lunawada, after which the Congress expelled him from the party for 6 years. But this action of the party did not affect him and he managed to win the election as an independent candidate. After his victory, Congress may have regretted not giving tickets to him; however, with the support of Ratan Singh's BJP, there is another boost in BJP's power.
