New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal has been put in the dock by the BJP. In fact, the Finance Minister of the Kejriwal government, Manish Sisodia, had presented the capital's annual budget in the Delhi Assembly on Saturday. Sisodia had said that in the coming five years, 20 lakh youths will be given employment in Delhi. After this, Kejriwal claimed in the assembly that in the last seven years, his government has provided jobs to 12 lakh youth. Now, Kejriwal's claim is being termed as a lie by the BJP. BJP leaders Kapil Mishra and Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma have asked Kejriwal to prove that his government has given jobs to 12 lakh youth.

BJP leader Kapil Mishra shared an RTI reply in a tweet. Kapil Mishra quoted RTI as saying that the Delhi government has given jobs to only 3,246 youth in the last seven years. At the same time, Pravesh Sahib Singh has taken a jibe at Kejriwal, saying that Kejriwal has put all the jobs on YouTube. He has also asked that Kejriwal tell whom he gave the job to? There has been no response from Kejriwal or any AAP leader after being cornered by the BJP.

In 2018, it was reported in the assembly by the Delhi government that around 350 youths have been given jobs. Now Kejriwal is saying that 12 lakh youths have been given jobs. In such a situation, it is this jugglery of statistics that has engulfed Kejriwal in the hands of the BJP. There is also a possibility of uproar in the Delhi Assembly on Monday over the issue.
