Kolkata: A statement by film actor and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty has created a new stir in the state of West Bengal. In fact, Mithun Chakraborty has claimed that 38 MLAs of Mamata Banerjee's party Trinamool Congress (TMC) are in touch with the BJP. At the same time, 21 of these MLAs are such that they are directly in contact with him i.e. Mithun.

Let me tell you that Mithun came to the BJP only last year. Now, while holding a press conference, he has expressed his views on many issues. When questioned about the BJP's anti-Muslim image, Mithun said there has always been an allegation that the BJP is organising riots. But I'm clear that it's just part of the conspiracy. Mithun said the BJP is said to be anti-Muslim. But why is it so? India's three biggest stars Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan are Muslims. How was this possible?

Mithun Chakraborty further said, "Today, there is a BJP government in 18 states of the country. If the BJP hates Muslims and if Hindus also don't love Muslims, then how will the films of these three stars collect bigger from these states?" Mithun further said, adding that I have reached where I am because people from all communities, Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, all communities love me.
