Kolkata: A political struggle has started regarding the Citizenship Amendment Bill passed in both the houses of Parliament of the country. In the midst of this bitter debate, Rajya Sabha MP and BJP leader from West Bengal Rupa Ganguly has shared a surprising incident. Rupa Ganguly has told that while she was studying in seventh grade in Dinajpur, West Bengal, she and her mother had to flee to the burqa to save their lives.

Actress-turned-politician Roopa Ganguly has told that some people had come to kidnap her and if she had not done so, she would have become the queen of 'Khan Tiger'. Rupa Ganguly said in response to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's speech in Parliament that, 'I wish I could say. What have i faced myself I would have become Begum of Khan Tiger who had come to kidnap me. If my mother and I could not run in the burqa that night from Dinajpur. I used to study in class 7 What should Amit Shah tell you? Today, how many people have blessed you and Narendra Modi.

BJP leader Roopa Ganguly said, 'Where will we go if India does not give us a place? Why won't anyone think? How often will we be homeless? My father in his country, sometimes in Narayanganj, sometimes Dhaka, sometimes in Dinajpur. How often will we change our homes? How often do we have to live the life of a refugee? Thanks to the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2019.
