Munger: In Bihar's Munger district, BJP leader Arun Yadav shot dead his wife Preeti Kumari, the mayoral candidate, and then shot himself dead. The villagers then along with the family members went to the BJP leader's bedroom. The bedroom was closed from inside. Then the villagers peeped through the window and saw that the husband and husband were seen lying in a bloodied position inside.

The villagers then broke open the door of the room in front of the family members. The body of his wife Preeti Devi was lying on a blood-soaked ground while the blood-soaked body of BJP leader Arun Yadav was lying on the bed. They were both shot in the head. Arun Yadav was the vice-president of the BJP's OBC Morcha while his wife Preeti Kumari was the mayoral candidate in the munger municipal corporation elections. There is talk of ideological differences between the two. Police of Kotwali police station, who rushed to the spot as soon as the news of the incident was received, have started an investigation. Police have recovered a katta, a pistol and several bullets from the spot. Police have taken both the bodies into custody and sent them to Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
