Bhopal: Former Madhya Pradesh MLA and BJP leader Surendra Singh, who threatened to bleed the blood of Chief Minister Kamal Nath, was arrested. His statement was a big blow. However, shortly after his arrest, the court released him on bail. City Superintendent of Police of TT Nagar area Umesh Tiwari said that a case has been registered against Surendra Nath Singh at T.T. Nagar police station on Thursday night under Section 188 and 143 of Bhadvi for holding a protest in Roshanpura area of the city without permission.

Superintendent of Police Tiwari said that Congress leaders have submitted a memorandum to the police station alleging that Surendra Nath had abused Kamal Nath and threatened him. They have demanded registration of a case against him in various sections including Sections 120, 109 and 509. After arresting Surendra Singh, the police produced him before the court of Special Judge Suresh Singh in Bhopal from where he was granted bail on a bond of 30 thousand rupees in all the four cases.

In fact, on Thursday, protesters were shouting slogans during a protest by the Bhopal Municipal Corporation led by Surendra Nath Singh against the years of the removal of landmines in the city and huge electricity bills for slum dwellers - "If our demands are not met, there will be bloodshed on the streets" ।  Meanwhile, one of the mob asked whose accused leader took the name of CM Kamal Nath. However, seeing the controversy escalating, the accused leader tried to get away with the case by terming the statement as unintentional.
