NEW DELHI: BJP Members of Parliament (MPs) staged a 'Quit India' protest today within the precincts of the Parliament in New Delhi. The demonstration was organized to commemorate the anniversary of the historic Quit India Movement. During the event, they vociferously chanted slogans and brandished placards conveying the messages, 'Let's Bid Farewell to Corruption, Dynasty, and Appeasement.'

Prominent figures within the BJP ranks, including Nishikant Dubey and Ravi Shankar Prasad, seized the opportunity to launch sharp criticisms at the Congress party, accusing it of perpetuating corruption and adhering to dynastic principles.

Dubey articulated, "Over the span of 75 years, the Congress party and its allied factions have contributed three detrimental factors to our nation, analogous to termites gnawing at the very essence of our country. It is high time we muster collective strength to counteract these elements, as democracy ought to serve the interests of the ordinary citizen."

"Furthermore," he continued, "we must address the issue of corruption as well as the unsettling trend of appeasement politics that relies on manipulating minority sentiments for electoral gains. This detrimental practice obstructs the effective implementation of policies within our nation."

Ravi Shankar Prasad, a BJP MP, added his perspective, stating, "...We must bid farewell to the pervasive dominance of family-centric governance, eradicate the foul stench of corruption, and eliminate the divisive politics of appeasement. The preservation of our nation's democratic foundation necessitates the expulsion of these maladies – the rule of family, corruption, must be unequivocally ousted from our land."

Simultaneously, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a moment to honor the valiant participants of the historic Quit India Movement. He paid homage to the influential role played by Mahatma Gandhi's leadership in liberating India from colonial subjugation. The Prime Minister shared his thoughts via a tweet, asserting, "Today, with a unified voice, India proclaims: Let's Uproot Corruption, Bid Adieu to Dynastic Politics, and Abandon Appeasement."

The demonstration held by the BJP MPs serves as a symbolic reiteration of their commitment to a corruption-free, merit-based, and united India, as they draw inspiration from the Quit India Movement's spirit of resilience and collective action.
