Lucknow: In the COVID-19 period, the case of thermal scanners and pulse oximeters supplied to gram panchayats at costly rates has came to fore. Now, the BJP MLA Devmani Dwivedi of Lanbhua has written a letter to the government on the issue. In the letter, he has accused the DM.
The government had ordered gram panchayats to purchase pulse oximeters and thermal scanners to check COVID-19 infection. After the direction of the government, a firm colluded with the officers and supplied both the things at costly rates. After the supply, the panchayats also sent a bill of Rs. 9, 950, while additional Chief Secretary Panchyatiraj had directed payment of only Rs 2800.
The DTRO had issued an order not to make more than Rs 2800 payment to gram panchayats. However, by then several gram panchayats had already paid pulse oximeter and thermal scanner kits at the rate of Rs. 9, 950. Bjp MLA Devmani Dwivedi of Lanbhua has also been overturned over the issue. He has written a letter to additional Chief Secretary Panchyatiraj, directly responsible to the DM. The matter is also under investigation.
These issues can be discussed in the upcoming Monsoon session of Telangana
