Bengaluru: The issue of wearing hijab at PU college in Karnataka's Udupi district is taking on a political shade. Now, BJP MP from Mysuru Pratap Simha has supported the Karnataka government's decision to implement uniform rules for all in the State. Making a statement on the hijab controversy, Pratam Simha said that if students from other communities come to educational institutions to get jobs, then Muslim students want to come to college to wear the hijab.

On the mentality of Muslim girl students, the BJP MP said, "You can wear a hijab, burqa, pyjama or a hat, which you like, but you can do it by going to the madrasa. The education system runs according to the rules, be it private institutions or government institutions. It is the duty of every student to follow the rules of the dress code. "If you are still willing to follow Sharia law, we have already given you a different country in 1947. You could have left India.''

"If you want to stay here, you have to abide by the terms and conditions of India. The country was divided into religious lines. Two of the three areas were given to the same community. You could have gone to those countries then. Why are you guys here now?'' On the issue of celebrating Saraswati Puja and other Hindu festivals in educational institutions, the BJP MP stressed that present India is not a slave of the British, it is a free India. Hinduism is the largest and most original religious group in India.
