New Delhi: Former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi has termed the decision to impose an emergency in the country during the tenure of former PM Indira Gandhi in an online program of the Cornell University of America. Reacting to this, BJP MP Rakesh Sinha has said that just forgetting the emergency will not work. Congress should pass a resolution in this regard and apologize.
Rakesh Sinha further said, "If Rahul Gandhi is so serious, then he should tell him that the fascist who was said to big leaders like Jayaprakash Narayan was wrong and will publicly apologize for it?" Congress should apologize by passing a resolution to it only by making a mistake, it will not work. If we do not do this then it will be believed that they are merely doing the work of covering up.''
Sinha further said, "Rahul is working according to the tradition of his family, in the first 50s when there was a challenge from leaders like Sardar Patel, Purushottam Das Tandon, then attacked the RSS. When Indira Gandhi was challenged in the 70s, she imposed an emergency and attacked the RSS, the same thing Rahul Gandhi is doing today.''
