New Delhi: Senior BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi targeted Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for refusing to resign despite being sent to judicial custody in an alleged money laundering case related to the Delhi excise policy. Trivedi highlighted the resignation of former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav before going to jail, contrasting it with Kejriwal's stance.

"Lalu Prasad Yadav had resigned when he was about to go to jail, but Kejriwal has not resigned yet," Trivedi said during a press conference. He criticized opposition parties for labeling Kejriwal's arrest as a BJP-led political conspiracy and emphasized that the court's judgment was based on concrete evidence.

Trivedi also referenced Kejriwal's mentor, Anna Hazare, who had refrained from entering politics. He remarked on Kejriwal's transformation from a social activist to the Chief Minister of Delhi.

"There are reports suggesting that Kejriwal mentioned the prime accused Vijay Nair used to report to Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj," Trivedi added, highlighting AAP's involvement in the liquor policy case.

Trivedi concluded by stating that the AAP's role in the liquor policy case was becoming clearer and questioned whether Kejriwal would resign or adopt a new political strategy. Despite his judicial custody, AAP has affirmed that Kejriwal will continue to fulfill his duties as the Chief Minister of Delhi.
