BJP National President J P Nadda visited Gwalior today, December 1,  ahead of the counting of votes for Madhya Pradesh assembly polls. Welcomed by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, state Home Minister Narottam Mishra, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, and other dignitaries at Gwalior airport, Nadda's visit anticipates the impending electoral outcome.

Nadda's two-day itinerary includes a visit to the Pitambara Peeth temple in Datia during the evening, followed by an overnight stay in Gwalior. Amidst the visit, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan engaged with the media, expressing confidence in the BJP's prospective victory based on the exit poll results released the previous evening.

"Through the relentless efforts of our party workers and the immense support from the public, coupled with the impactful schemes initiated by the Central and Madhya Pradesh governments such as Garib Kalyan Yojana, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, PM Awaz Yojana, Ladli Behna Yojana, and Ladli Laxmi Yojana, BJP has forged a significant connection with women. The effective implementation of these welfare programs will ensure a substantial majority for BJP," stated CM Chouhan.

Exit polls predominantly favored BJP, highlighting the Congress' struggle to leverage 'anti-incumbency' sentiment, contrary to their expectations. However, a few exit polls indicated an advantage for the Congress.

Responding to these projections, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath urged party workers not to be disheartened by the BJP's anticipated win as per the exit polls.

In a post on X, Congress leader Kamal Nath emphasized the strength of Congress workers and their pivotal role in garnering significant support from the public. "Your dedication and hard work have won overwhelming support for the Congress Party. As the vote counting commences on December 3, the public's decision will uphold the Congress government," Nath affirmed.

Asserting that a nation thrives on vision rather than media reports, Kamal Nath urged supporters not to be swayed by the varying exit poll outcomes.

In contrast, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed gratitude towards the women voters of the state, exclaiming, "A close contest? The dear sisters seem to have paved our way to victory by removing all obstacles."

Madhya Pradesh conducted elections for its 230 assembly seats on November 17, recording a voter turnout of 77.15 percent. The crucial vote counting will unfold on December 3.
