20 lakh Jobs, Expansion of irrigation network; BJP releases manifesto for Gujarat elections

Ahmedabad: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday released its manifesto for the upcoming Gujarat Assembly elections. The BJP has promised to provide 20 lakh jobs to the youth of Gujarat within five years. The Congress had promised to provide 10 lakh jobs in its manifesto. Along with this, the BJP has also pledged to invest Rs 10,000 crore under the Gujarat Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, and Rs 25,000 crore to expand the irrigation network.

Releasing the manifesto, BJP president JP Nadda said if gets power again, they will strengthen gaushalas with an additional budget of Rs 500 crore, and set up 1000 additional mobile veterinary units. JP Nadda, CM Bhupendra Patel, and state BJP unit president CR Patil were present during the release of the BJP manifesto. State President CR Patil said that more than 1 crore people of Gujarat have given their opinion to make this resolution letter.  

At the same time, on behalf of the Congress, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot released the Congress manifesto 'Jan Manifesto 2022' in Gujarat. The Congress had promised free treatment of up to Rs 10 lakh and free medicines for every Gujarati person, along with 300 units of free electricity, and waiving outstanding electricity bills. Along with this, Congress has also promised to change the name of Narendra Modi Stadium to Sardar Patel Stadium again if the government is formed.
