Lucknow: BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi, who effectively put the BJP's side in the television debate, is known for his precise answers. He has been elected unopposed as a party candidate in the by-election in the Rajya Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh. The seat fell vacant after the death of former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

Sudhanshu submitted the nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha seat on Friday on the last day. No other party had contested the by-election in this vacant seat of UP, due to which the victory of Sudhanshu Trivedi was already being decided. This seat was considered very important due to its association with Arun Jaitley.

A Ph.D. holder in mechanical engineering, Sudhanshu Trivedi is also credited with being the youngest information advisor to the chief minister and political advisor to the BJP president. Taking a decision to send Sudhanshu, who hails from Lucknow to the Rajya Sabha, the BJP leadership has also hinted at elevating him as a Brahmin face, while giving importance to the organization as well.

Sudhanshu Trivedi has been working for the organization for a long time. When the current defense minister Rajnath Singh became the Chief Minister of the state, he came close to him and his role as an advisor was discussed in the event of his becoming the president.
