New Delhi: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the BJP has decided to take contributions from people across the country. BJP national president JP Nadda has written to all party leaders and workers requesting them to join it in this regard. This contribution will range from Rs 5 to Rs 1000.
According to reports, the event has been formally launched by BJP chief JP Nadda. He launched the initiative by paying an amount of Rs. 1000 as a contribution. Apart from Nadda, PM Narendra Modi is among those who donated. He also donated Rs. 1000. JP Nadda has written in his letter to party leaders and workers that, 'From the birth anniversary of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee on 25 December to the death anniversary of the party's founder Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay (11 February 2022), party leaders and workers, Will take donations from common people.'
JP Nadda said the contribution will range from a minimum of Rs 5 to mostly Rs 1000. JP Nadda in his letter also mentioned what could be a better way to connect the BJP's thinking of 'Rashtra Pratham' and take the party's idea to the people.
