Kolkata: The BJP is going to launch a campaign against the corruption of the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal from today. Thousands of BJP workers have reached Kolkata from the districts even after heavy rains to join the movement against the Mamata government. On the other hand, Mamata's police are also ready to stop the BJP's anti-corruption campaign and have started catching BJP workers coming from different districts.

A large number of police forces have been deployed in Kolkata and Howrah. The city has been cordoned off to stop the procession. Barricades have been installed on various roads. Police are ready with water canners. According to police sources, Special Commissioner Damayanti Sen is keeping a close watch on the security arrangements. Two additional police commissioners are in charge of security in different parts of the city. There are 18 DC rank officers deployed in the security system. Along with this, 32 assistant commissioners, and 62 inspectors are deployed. Five water cannons have been installed to stop the BJP procession from different parts of the city to Nabanna. Along with this, drones are also being monitored. The police have not given permission for the BJP rally.

However, the BJP is ready for the Nabanna campaign without police permission. Due to this, the police have been advised to avoid Hooghly II Bridge from 8 am to 4 pm and Howrah Bridge from 12 noon to 4 pm on Tuesday. Police have banned the entry of goods vehicles into the city from 4 am to 8 pm.
