Lucknow: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has allowed relatives of its leaders to be fielded in the upcoming block chief elections in Uttar Pradesh. The BJP party has a  meeting to decide the names of the candidates. Among the candidates decided can be many names from the families of Zilla Panchayat presidents who have won.

The BJP is now eyeing the block chief's seats after capturing 65 seats in the Zilla Panchayat president elections. In fact, elections to the block chief are due in UP. The nomination process has been finalised on July 8 and voting is scheduled for July 10. Counting will take place after 3:00 pm on the same day. According to information received, a meeting is likely to be held at the BJP's state headquarters in Lucknow today to decide the names of the candidates. It is being reported that the exercise to send the names of block chief candidates will begin in all districts of UP from this evening. After the meeting, the names of the decided candidates will be sent to all the districts.

According to reports, the district committee will announce the names of the candidates after sending the names of the candidates to the district committee in the evening itself. In Uttar Pradesh, BJP will field its candidates in all the 826 blocks. The BJP has reportedly given concessions to its leaders and relatives to contest the elections.
